Reasons for the Ozone hole

Scientists all over the world are alarmed at the destruction of this layer which acts as our saviour which cuts out most of ultraviolet radiation from the sun and thus prevents skin cancer.
It  is due to chlorofluorocarbons , Freon gases, certain bromine compounds, nitrogen oxides and methyl bromide.
These compounds are released from freezers, air conditioners, fire extinguishers, foam insulation's,  industrial solvents, aerosol products and pesticides.

Ozone hole

Ozone layer
The changes in ozone layer was first detected in stratosphere over the Antarctic region. The depletion portion of ozone  in atmosphere is known as "ozone hole". It is not a real hole. But this portion of Ozone layer is less denser than the other part of the ozone layer.

Global Warming

Global Warming means raise in the earth"s temperature, which causes the changes in climate and it will affect the Biological cycle of all living organisms in the Earth.

First we should know why we are feared about this Global warming and the main reason for this Global Warming.

In our solar system the earth is the only planet which is suited for life. Our earth is surrounded by 70% of water. Earth is the third planet in our solar system. We get light from Sun. The electromagnetic radiation emitted from the sun includes ultraviolet rays which is potentially harmful to living organisms and it can damage DNA of living organisms.

God gives us natural protection by giving the thickest layer which is known as OZONE layer to protect all living organisms in the universe from this ultraviolet radiation.

Ozone layer is formed by O3 Oxygen. This layer is also known as life saver layer.
In the stratosphere the total amount of ozone is usually stays constant because its formation and destruction is about same rate. But unfortunately human activities changed that natural balance. Some manufactured substances such as Chlorofluorocarbons and hydro chlorofluorocarbons can destroy this Ozone layer much faster than it is formed.

Even 1% of reduction in the amount of Ozone layer in the upper stratosphere causes a measurable increase in the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the earths surface.

If there is no Ozone layer all the amount of ultraviolet radiation reaching us would be catastrophically high.

All living organisms would suffer by radiation burns, unless they were underground or in the sea.
